My first day at McKinsey was a blast for myself. Simply because there were so much to see and so much to learn at this firm. I got access to lots of resources in its intranet and I was amazed by how much content is available to the employees regardless of role.
I realized that there were lots of documents, tutorial guides on how to do presentations, how to write proposals, how to solve problems effectively, how to build and manage a team and work towards a collective goal. I’ve seen these themes and ideas being covered by many textbooks; however, in this case, I believe these materials stem from numerous years of experience in various industries and functions. It provides a detailed guide to developing better soft skills for practioners of various experience levels. I’m sure these assets and positive corporate culture nutured many great alumni as well as leaders of the world. I strive to become part of them someday, or at least develop my own company with a culture like that.
